Since the 1980s, MAPCO Machine Shop has been filling your automotive machining needs. Our parent company, Mertz Auto Parts Company, started over 50 years ago in Sunbury, PA, with a partnership between two cousins, Robert "Bob" and Richard "Dick" Mertz. The business evolved into two separate divisions: our used truck parts salvage yard and the addition of our machine shop, MAPCO. We have been selling quality parts to our customers at our salvage yard for years, focusing on hard-to-find parts.
Our machine shop expanded services over the years to include driveshaft assembly, U-bolt bending, and hydraulic hose assembly. An engine dyno machine was also added at our present location. In 2015, we sadly lost the two original partners, Bob and Dick Mertz. Their passing prompted a change in ownership in 2016 to long-time partner, Roy Adams, and his wife, Patsy Adams. With the help of our hard-working and dedicated employees, the business continues to move forward.
At MAPCO, we pride ourselves in providing one-of-a-kind engine builds, driveline work, and hydraulic hoses. Every customer is unique to us and their job is treated as a completely custom, one-off build. We are proud dealers of Parker Hose & Fittings and Allstar Performance Parts. Our services include engine building, engine dyno testing and tuning, custom driveshafts and driveshaft repair, hydraulic hose making, custom U-bolt bending, flywheel surfacing, and brake drum cutting. With over 30 years of automotive machining excellence, we are dedicated to serving our customers' salvage parts and machine shop needs.
