At Mid Michigan Waste Authority, we're dedicated to providing convenient, economical, safe, and environmentally-conscious curbside solid waste collection services to our communities. Our mission is to make waste management easy and accessible for our residents, while also promoting sustainability and reducing our environmental footprint.

Our History

Mid Michigan Waste Authority was formed in 1991, when a group of public works directors came together to share a vision of offering or improving their community's curbside solid waste collection services. By joining forces, they knew they could secure better prices and a wider array of services for their residents. Today, we serve 34 member communities in the greater Saginaw Valley, providing services to nearly 69,000 residential properties.

Our Services

We offer a range of services to our residents, including curbside trash and recycling collection, yard waste collection, and special waste drop-off days. Our curbside services are designed to be convenient and easy to use, with a focus on reducing waste and promoting sustainability. Our recycling program accepts a wide range of materials, from paper and plastic to glass and metal. We also offer yard waste collection, which accepts grass clippings, leaves, and other yard vegetation. And for special items like electronics and hazardous waste, we offer designated drop-off days to ensure they're handled and disposed of properly.
