Belvedere Yacht Club

Belvedere Yacht Club is a private club located just off the Magothy River, tucked away on Forked Creek. We are a working club that is owned, maintained, and run entirely by our members. Our active participation by members and their families is key to the Club's continued success.

Our History

The Belvedere Yacht Club has a rich history dating back to the early days of sailing in the Chesapeake Bay. We have been a member of the Yacht Clubs of Maryland, the Chesapeake Bay Yacht Clubs Association, and the Delaware River Yachtsmen's League. We have also been a part of the Blue Gavels, a group of yacht clubs that extend guest privileges to members of reciprocal clubs.

Our Services

We offer a variety of services to our members, including access to our private Facebook group where members can post cruising news, events, ideas, questions, and anything else relevant or interesting. Our webmaster is also available to assist with any technical issues or requests.

Membership

To become a member of Belvedere Yacht Club, you must be sponsored by two members in good standing who know you personally and can affirm that your participation and commitment as a member would be enjoyable and successful for you, your family, and the Club. This sponsorship will include a one-year probationary period.

Board of Governors

Our Board of Governors is made up of a Commodore, Vice Commodore, Rear Commodore, Fleet Captain, Secretary, Treasurer, Past Commodore, and two 1st Year Directors and two 2nd Year Directors. These members work together to ensure the success and continued growth of the Club.

Upcoming Events

We have a variety of upcoming events throughout the year, including social gatherings, sailing events, and work parties. These events are a great way for members to meet and connect with one another, as well as contribute to the maintenance and upkeep of the Club.

Ships Store

Our Ships Store offers a variety of items for purchase, including hats, shirts, jackets, and koozies. All proceeds from the Ships Store are returned to the Club, helping to support our ongoing operations and activities.
