Transforming Your Outdoor Space into a Lush Oasis

It is amazing how time flies. I started in the green industry 35 years ago in 1984 after having previously worked in the restaurant industry. I have always enjoyed being outdoors, so this was a natural fit for me. After having worked for a national lawn care company for 7 years and gaining as much knowledge as possible, I felt the time was right to start my own business in 1991. As with any new business, the first couple of years were tough. However, business slowly began to increase and in 1995 my company was pretty much established. As I grew, the focus continued to be on the quality of work done. 'Do the job right and show that you care, and people will seek you out' That mindset continues to this day! I downsized the company in 2005 after years of trying to grow it. I have now been a solo owner/operator ever since who personally performs all applications. When needed, I use licensed and insured subcontractors for the more labor intensive projects. 2019 marks my 28th year in business and I have not looked back. I still enjoy working with Mother Nature and all she has to offer! My wife Janet and I live in Newark, Delaware with our dogs, two Shitz Zu and Yorkie mixes (Shorkies), Willie and Harley. When time permits, Janet and I love to go to the Florida Keys in the winter as well as taking some long weekend trips with friends in season on our motorcycle. Lawn Care Services

Having a beautiful green lawn is esthetically pleasing and increases property values. Lawns contribute to the quality of life and provide a welcoming space for your family. Many homeowners want to have a beautiful thick green lawn, but lack the expertise, time and know how to create their vision. Proper lawn care applications are essential to maintaining a healthy stand of turf. Applied incorrectly, and you could find yourself fighting problems all season long. A thick lawn acts as a filter, by slowing water runoff while reducing nutrient leaching into our storm drains and waterways. Nitrogen and phosphorous runoff are the 2 biggest problems causing issues with our waterways and bays. By applying the proper slow release fertilizer in the proper amounts, we can and we are improving the environment, all the while helping you to enjoy your home lawn. Lawn care programs are created to fit your yard's specific needs and are not a 'one size fits all' approach!

Seeding & Aeration

Our customized fertilization programs work for you, not against you! All lawns are not created equal! Just like no 2 people are alike, neither are 2 lawns. Some need more attention, some need less. When it comes to feeding your lawn, the products that are used are best suited for the turf in our area, also called the "Transition Zone". Typically, that means Turf Type Tall Fescue, Fine Fescue, Bluegrass and Perennial Rye grasses. On a lesser note, we do see and have lawns with Zoysia and Bermuda grass mixed in, but in most cases, these grasses are treated more like a "weed". That is because they are a warm season turf. In the rare case that a lawn is mostly either of these two, then they are treated as if they were in a warm season zone. Based on your lawns condition, it might be necessary to develop a more intense program to address any problematic areas. Neglected lawns will usually require additional applications to get them back in shape. Once they have become established, then the nutrient applications
