Swords Marine Service, LLC was founded in 2011 by Bob Swords, a seasoned marine professional with over 45 years of experience in the marine industry. The company started as a mobile marine repair service, servicing clients in and around the Mathews County area in Virginia. Due to the increasing demand for quality marine repair services, Swords Marine Service expanded in 2013 to a larger location that includes a 1,200 sq/ft show and parts room and a 2,400 sq/ft bay shop.

Swords Marine Service prides itself on providing quality marine repair services, from mobile repair at your location to onsite repair at our facility in Mathews, Virginia. Our team of certified marine technicians has undergone extensive training from ABYC, Mercury, Airmar, and other organizations, and our certifications cover outboard motors, marine corrosion, computer diagnostics, and more. As a family-owned and operated business for nearly ten years, we understand the importance of reliable and efficient marine repair, and we strive to provide our clients with the best possible service.

In addition to marine repair, Swords Marine Service also offers a selection of Mercury outboard motors, parts, and accessories for boats and trailers at our showroom. Our dedication to excellence has earned us the distinction as a Mercury Authorized Service Center, Platinum Dealer, Certified Repower Center, Premier Service Center, Preferred Outboard Service Center, and Preferred Mobile Service Center. We are also a dealer for Load Rite Trailers.

Bob Swords is a Mercury trained and certified technician with over 45 years of experience in the marine industry. He founded Swords Marine Service in 2011 and has been providing quality marine repair services ever since. Outside of work, Bob enjoys spending time with his family, riding his motorcycle, and competitive shooting.

*Bobby Swords, Marine Technician*

Bobby Swords is a Mercury Outboard trained technician with ABYC certification who joined the family business full-time in March 2012. In his free time, he enjoys spending time on the water in his boat or off-roading with friends in his rock crawler.

*Gina Love, Parts and Office*

Gina Love joined Swords Marine in September 2017 and brings over 15 years of marine parts experience and administrative knowledge to the team. When she's not at work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and son, hiking, and boating.

Services

Swords Marine Service offers a range of marine repair services to meet your needs, from mobile repair at your location to on-site repair at our facility in Mathews, Virginia. Our preventative maintenance service includes hourly inspections and recommendations for ongoing maintenance, while our troubleshoot and repair services ensure that any issues are identified and resolved quickly. We perform computer diagnostics on Mercury's and other brands, fuel system cleaning and service, gear case/lower unit service, electronics installation, oil change and tune-ups, water pump replacement, winterization, and trailer service and repair.
