Cooperative Agri Support Service

Cooperative Agricultural Support Services (CASS) is a local public agency that partners with state and county agencies, as well as the agricultural industry, to protect our food supply, environment, and the economic viability of our agricultural industry. CASS is dedicated to providing cost-effective and flexible services to meet the agricultural project needs throughout California.

Services and Programs

CASS offers a variety of services and programs designed to support the agricultural industry and protect California's natural resources. These include:

1. Agricultural Commodity Grading Program: This program focuses on providing commodity grading and certification services using federal, state, or industry standards for product quality, condition, maturity, size, and/or pack.

2. Emergency Pest Detection Trapping and Survey Program: CASS works with state and county agencies to carry out seasonal, temporary, or emergency plant pest survey, trapping, and eradication projects.

3. Auditing Programs: In partnership with the California Department of Food and Agriculture and the United States Department of Agriculture, CASS assists agricultural producers and industry groups in developing and implementing auditing programs based upon Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) principles and guidelines.
