Glenview Methodist Pre-School

Glenview Methodist Preschool is a fully independent, non-denominational play-based preschool that has proudly served the children of Glenview and the surrounding area since 1965. We offer programs for children aged 2 1/2 through 5, with a range of morning and afternoon classes, daily Enrichment programs, and summer camp options for children in the 3's and 4's, as well as our KinderClub program for Kindergarteners. Our beautiful and inviting classrooms, filled with natural light, provide the perfect environment for children to learn and grow.

Our Philosophy

Our philosophy is grounded in the belief that nothing lights up a child's brain like play. We believe that early childhood education should begin when a child is emotionally and physically ready to explore the world with new people and in new places, separate from the home environment. It is meant to be an extension of the caring and teaching experience the child receives from birth. At Glenview Methodist Preschool, we emphasize the principle that children learn through play, and we promote play as a means to develop divergent thinking and creative expression. Our nurturing, warm, and flexible interaction between adults and children leads to positive social and emotional growth, and strengthens children's awareness of self.
