Our Story

Mark Lewis, the owner, was raised and educated in Wenatchee. His background in the funeral industry, where he worked for over a decade, inspired him to start Columbia Pet Service. Mark's vision was to create a service that would cater specifically to pet owners, providing them with a dignified and personalized way to say goodbye to their beloved pets. Kathy Fortner-Lewis, co-owner, brings a wealth of experience in various fields, including psychology and business administration. Together, they have built a business that is deeply rooted in the community and dedicated to supporting pet owners through difficult times.

Services Offered

At Columbia Pet Service, we offer a range of services designed to meet the unique needs of each pet owner. Our private cremation service includes pickup in the Greater Wenatchee area, private cremation onsite, placement of cremains into a heavy, white cardboard container with a velvet bag, and timely delivery to you. We also offer a hinged wooden box with an inscribed metal nameplate for an additional fee. For those who prefer, we can accommodate out-of-town pickups and returns, although there is an additional fee for this service. For those who prefer a more cost-effective option, we also offer a group cremation service, which includes scattering of cremains.
