Our Story

Patton Lawn Service was born from a simple idea: providing reliable and professional lawn care to the Kansas City area. Starting in the mid-1990s, what began as a small operation mowing neighbor's lawns slowly grew into the reputable business we are today. Driven by a passion for horticulture and a commitment to excellence, Zane Patton, founder of Patton Lawn Service, learned the ins and outs of lawn care through hands-on experience and formal education.

He honed his skills while studying turfgrass management at the University of Missouri, appreciating the science behind a truly healthy and vibrant lawn. Zane's journey furthered with valuable experience working on the grounds crew for both the Kansas City Royals, and the Kansas City Chiefs. These experiences, combined with his time as assistant superintendent at Staley Farms Golf Club, provided a comprehensive understanding of turf management at a professional level.

With his brother Brock's support, Zane returned to his roots, establishing Patton Lawn Service as a full-fledged entity in 2010. A decade later, the company proudly staffs 13 full-time employees and operates four service trucks, serving the greater Kansas City Northland area.
