Empowering Artists, Inspiring Galleries, and Enriching Cultures

The Ernie Wolfe Gallery has been a leading destination for art lovers for over 40 years. Founded in 1981, our gallery has been dedicated to showcasing the works of modern American, often Southern California-based artists, alongside the works of contemporary African painters and sculptors, as well as traditional tribal sculpture and furniture.

With a vast collection of artworks from both East and West Africa, our gallery has been instrumental in bringing together diverse cultures and artistic styles. Our expertise in the field of African art has enabled us to curate exhibitions that not only highlight the beauty of African art but also its significance in contemporary art.

Our Collections

Our permanent collection includes a range of artworks, from the Golden Age Movie Posters from Ghana (1985-1999) to the Joseph Bertiers Vigango - Commemorative Sculptures of the Mijikenda, FAV'S, Fantastic Afterlife Vehicles, Arts of Utility, Classic African Signboards, Archive, Press Store, Extreme Canvas Arts of Kenya, and Books. Our collections are constantly evolving, with new additions regularly incorporated into our exhibitions.

We have worked with a diverse range of artists, from renowned American poet and songwriter Stevie Kalinich, who has exhibited his intricate artwork for the first time in his life, to the likes of Natalie Arnoldi, Chuck Arnoldi, Ed Moses, Andy Moses, Billy Al Bengston, Robert Graham, Gwynn Murrill, James Mathers, Torrey Bridgman, Larry Bell, Barry Campion, Kelly Berg, Rick Oginz, Norton Wisdom, The Miracle Najib from Ghana, Robert Walker, and many more.
