Founded in 2000 by Inna Stabrova and Dmitriy Tuboltsev, this esteemed institution has a rich history and a strong reputation for excellence. Both Inna and Dmitriy are graduates of the renowned State Vaganova Ballet Academy in St. Petersburg, Russia, and have performed in numerous principal roles around the world. Since starting their teaching careers, they have trained many students to achieve college and professional levels in dance.
The Ohio Conservatory of Ballet is known for its rigorous programs in classical ballet, pointe, character dance, baroque dance, and partnering. The faculty holds master's degrees in teaching dance, ensuring that students receive top-notch instruction. Students come from all over Ohio, including Cleveland, Akron, Wooster, Canton, Ashland, and Alliance, to benefit from the expertise of the instructors. During the summer, students from out of state also join the summer courses in the Vaganova method.
The school's commitment to the Vaganova Russian method sets it apart, making it the only school in Northeast Ohio to offer this renowned technique. Inna and Dmitriy's dedication to their students and the art of ballet has earned the Ohio Conservatory of Ballet the Outstanding School Award from Youth America Grand Prix in 2017.
