Ballet Arts Center: Excellence in Dance Since 1979
Founded in 1979, Ballet Arts Center has been dedicated to excellence in dance education for over four decades. Our Conservatory School emphasizes Classical Ballet while integrating innovative dance styles and contemporary music in Jazz and Tap classes. We believe dance education extends beyond technique to cultivate discipline, focus, and artistic intuition in young learners. Our approach prioritizes collaborative growth over individual stardom, fostering consideration for others within a group dynamic. With structured curricula and experienced instructors, we provide a nurturing environment for students of all levels. From preschool beginners to advanced dancers, our programs balance technical rigor with creative expression. We maintain strict dress codes and progressive class requirements to ensure professional development. Located in Farmington, Missouri, we serve Southeast Missouri communities through both educational programs and performance opportunities. Our affiliated Young People's Performing Arts Theatre has offered large-scale productions since 1981. Through annual events like the Nutcracker Ballet and Merry Christmas Show, we engage local talent in semi-professional theatrical experiences.
