At the Professional Photographers of Louisiana (PPLA), our mission is to provide a forum for professional advancement and exchange of ideas in photography through education, inspiration, motivation, networking, and fellowship. We are a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the art and craft of photography in Louisiana.

History

The Professional Photographers of Louisiana was founded in the 1940s and has been a leading organization for professional photographers in the state ever since. As an affiliate member of the Professional Photographers of America (PPA), we have forged a strong connection with over 25,000 creative members in 54 countries.

Our Services

We offer a range of services designed to help photographers of all levels grow and improve their craft. Our services include:

• Education and Training: Our organized educational events throughout the year feature some of the best photographers in the world. Attend in-person and virtual events to learn new techniques and stay up-to-date on the latest trends and technologies.
• Image Competitions: Participate in our merit program, where you can earn state degrees and awards by participating in image competitions, serving on committees, attending educational events, and teaching programs.
• Certified Professional Photographer (CPP) Study Group: Join our study group and mentorship program with certified professionals to help you achieve your CPP certification.
• Committee Participation: Volunteer to work on a committee and gain valuable leadership skills while making a difference in your community.
