At JM Fahey Construction, we are a family-owned business with a rich history dating back to 1971. Over the years, we have experienced significant growth, but we have always maintained our commitment to providing a personal touch to our clients, employees, vendors, and the public. Our Services

We specialize in heavy and highway construction projects for both public and private sectors. Our diverse client base includes state DOT's, local public works agencies, commercial and residential developers, industrial sites, and individuals. We are experts in best practices and technologies, and we understand the importance of meeting performance expectations, schedules, and deadlines. Our high standards are the foundation upon which our clients build.

Our product offerings include hot mix asphalt, limestone aggregate, and construction services such as engineering and design, asphalt paving, concrete paving, cold milling, earthwork and grading, and pavement repair and maintenance. Each project is unique, and we learn something new from each project and apply that knowledge to each successive project. This accumulation of knowledge and expertise is the cornerstone of our reputation as a quality contractor.

Our History

Mr. Joseph M. Fahey founded J. M. Fahey Construction in 1971. Over the years, we have expanded our capabilities by entering the cold milling market in 1979, acquiring our first asphalt plant in Kansas City, Kansas in 1984, and acquiring a concrete paving spread in 1988. Our concrete paving operations have won local and national awards for quality in each of the last five decades. In 1988, we also acquired 900 acres of quarry ground in northern Cass County, just south of the metropolitan area, which we operate as Beyer Crushed Rock Co.

Our Purpose

At JM Fahey Construction, we recognize that the community is the end user of our work. It is central to our company culture that we participate in the community we serve. Our personnel are actively involved in industry associations, civic organizations, and not-for-profit entities throughout the metropolitan area. We take pride in giving back to the community where we live, work, and raise our families. This is a key element of our business purpose and a core value of our company.

Our Projects

We have completed numerous projects throughout the years, including City Hall in Grandview, Missouri, KCMO Mill & Overlay in Kansas City, Missouri, Street Resurfacing for the Unified Government of Wyandotte County/Kansas City, Kansas, and 179th Street in Overland Park, Kansas. We are proud of our work and the positive impact it has on the communities we serve.
