Capital City Dance Studio

Capital City Dance Studio embodies the art of dance in its finest form. Stressing both technique and enjoyment, Capital City Dance Studio continues the tradition of its founder, Gina Tincher, to provide the young people of our community with the opportunity to learn and participate in an art form that will further their development mentally, physically and socially. Each of our instructors has not only been trained, but has danced as a student in our studio. Each is dedicated to the mission of Capital City Dance Studio: "to teach and further the art of dance while enhancing the development of the individual."

For 54 years, Capital City Dance Studio has been Frankfort's time-honored dance school, providing quality dance instruction in a fun and enjoyable environment for children from 2 to 18 years of age. Established by Gina Tincher in 1969, the studio has grown to become one of the largest dance studios in Kentucky. Now owned and directed by Gina's daughter, Laurie Meyer, the studio's teaching staff seeks to make dance fun, energizing, entertaining and educational for every student. While technique is essential, we believe it is equally important that our students enjoy the art of dance while cultivating proper skills.

We offer a wide range of classes for male and female dancers, including ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, and gymnastics. Lessons are available at various times from Monday through Thursday, with some classes also offered on Saturday mornings. Our studio locations are conveniently situated in Frankfort, Kentucky, ensuring accessibility for families from the surrounding areas.
