The first auction held by the William Smith firm was the Estate of Silas Row, which was held on the grounds of the estate in the spring of 1962. Over the years, the auction house gained popularity and recognition, with the "auction of the century" - The Estate of James Cambell Lewis, held in 1971 - solidifying its reputation as a premier auction destination.

In addition to our regular auctions, we also specialize in on-site and estate sales. These auctions are conducted from May to October and have proven to be very successful. Our approach to estate sales is unique, and we take great care in ensuring that each and every estate is handled with the utmost respect and attention to detail.
