Sea Harbour Yacht Club

Sea Harbour Yacht Club is a private retreat nestled on a serene creek in Oriental, North Carolina. Often regarded as the finest marina facility in the area, our club offers a unique boating experience, insulated from the hustle and bustle of transient docks, charter fleets, yacht sales, and repair yards. Our marina is exclusively for our members, providing an uncrowded, quiet, and relaxed lifestyle.

A Family Playground

Sea Harbour Yacht Club is not just a place for skippers; it's a family playground where adults and children can have fun. Whether you want to settle down with a book in the cockpit, relax in a rocking chair on the wrap-around deck, or discuss sailing plans with fellow members, our club has got you covered. The kid's lobby provides a gathering place for the younger set, while the large lawns offer ample space for games and activities. Everyone meets at the pool side for a refreshing dip or to share drinks and conversation.

Natural Retreat

Our club is surrounded by areas of marsh and trees, providing a natural retreat in a hectic world. Rare natural companions such as otters, ospreys, and pelicans can be seen in and around our creek, which is designated as a "Primary Nursery Area" by the NC Wildlife Resources Commission. This designation helps preserve the natural state of the creek, restricting intensive development and ensuring a peaceful environment for our members.

Boating Paradise

Your boat is nestled close to pine forested creek shores, protected from wind and wave action. Yet, you're only a half-mile from the Neuse River, which is five miles wide at the creek entrance. Oriental's harbor is one and a half miles upstream, and Pamlico Sound and several hundred square miles of cruising and fishing waters are just ten miles downstream. Whether you're into fishing, cruising, or simply enjoying the beauty of the sea, Sea Harbour Yacht Club is the perfect base for your boating adventures.

Club Amenities

Our club offers a range of amenities designed to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. These include a lounge with a TV, a table for working on your project, or a cool corner to avoid the midday sun. In the evening, you can discuss sailing plans, next week's cruise, or the jump to the islands for the winter with fellow members. • December 7, 2024: Budget Planning focused Board Meeting at 9:00 PM
• December 31, 2024: Oyster Roast at 1:00 PM
• January 11, 2025: Board Meeting and Finalized Budget Meeting at 9:00 AM
• March 1, 2025: Annual Membership Meeting at 9:00 AM

Storm Preparation

We have a comprehensive storm preparation plan in place to ensure the safety of our members and their boats. This includes storm preparation instructions, a hurricane plan task grid, and a hurricane preparation volunteer form. We encourage all members to familiarize themselves with these documents and to take the necessary precautions during storm warnings.
