At New River Solid Waste Association, we take pride in being a pioneering force in environmentally friendly waste management. Since 1988, we have been serving the citizens and businesses of Baker, Bradford, and Union Counties in Florida, as well as contracted waste from out-of-region locations. Our commitment to protecting environmental resources and promoting innovative technologies has made us a leader in solid waste management.
Our History
The New River Solid Waste Association was formed in 1988 when Baker, Bradford, and Union Counties combined their resources to share the costs associated with solid waste disposal. This partnership resulted in the design and construction of the New River Regional Landfill (NRRL), Florida's first multi-county, regional facility. Today, we operate an integrated solid waste management system that includes disposal facilities for Class I solid wastes, as well as 19 rural collection and recycling sites throughout the three-member county region.
Our Services
Our comprehensive services include waste disposal, recycling, and special waste programs. We accept Class I solid wastes, including waste tires and white goods, and provide environmentally friendly disposal solutions. Our recycling programs aim to maximize the use of landfill space and reduce waste. Additionally, we offer special waste programs for unique waste streams.
