Empowering Rural Communities in Uganda Through Holistic Development
Since 2011, Uganda Counseling & Support Services has pioneered a holistic, community-driven model to break the cycle of poverty in rural Uganda. Our integrated approach combines clean water access, medical care, education, economic development, life skills training, counseling, and spiritual discipleship to equip individuals with tools for sustainable growth. We prioritize local leadership development, training community members to maintain infrastructure and deliver services long-term.Through partnerships with global supporters and local leaders, we've impacted over 500,000 lives by establishing schools, healthcare clinics, and vocational programs that foster self-reliance. Our Christ-centered methodology emphasizes dignity, sustainability, and exponential change through a 'train-the-trainers' framework. By addressing physical, emotional, and spiritual needs simultaneously, we create environments where communities can thrive independently.

Services
Clean Water Access
UCSS implements sustainable water well projects that provide clean drinking water to rural communities while training local technicians for maintenance. Our programs reduce waterborne diseases and create community hubs for information sharing. By combining infrastructure development with local capacity building, we ensure long-term water security that supports health, agriculture, and economic growth in Eastern Uganda.
Medical Care
Our integrated healthcare approach combines mobile clinics, mental health counseling, and permanent medical facilities like Nana Health Center. We train 200+ local health facilitators to address physical and psychological needs, focusing on maternal health, vaccinations, and trauma recovery. This comprehensive model reduces disease rates while building community resilience through preventative care education.
Education Programs
UCSS operates three primary schools, one secondary school, and a vocational training center that educate 1,800+ students annually. Our holistic curriculum combines academic instruction with life skills and spiritual development. Through student sponsorship programs and teacher training initiatives, we create pathways for economic mobility while addressing systemic educational gaps in rural Uganda.
Economic Development
Our Economic Development Groups provide vocational training in tailoring, agriculture, and construction while establishing savings cooperatives. Participants gain practical skills and financial literacy to create income-generating ventures. Special focus on women and youth development helps build economic resilience at both individual and community levels through sustainable business practices.
Sustainable Agriculture
UCSS agriculture programs teach modern farming techniques while distributing seeds and livestock to combat food insecurity. We establish group farming cooperatives and train agricultural specialists to ensure knowledge transfer. By combining practical skills with biblical principles of stewardship, we help families achieve food security and develop income-generating agribusinesses that transform rural economies.
