Established in 1981 by David and Robert Cox, the company began its journey with a strong foundation in masonry and concrete work. Over the years, Cox Construction Inc. garnered a reputation for excellence and reliability, leading to a loyal clientele that sought their expertise in various construction projects.

In response to a customer's request, the company made a strategic move to Knoxville, Tennessee in 1988, establishing a new presence in this growing region. Operating initially from the basements of their homes, the Cox family's unwavering commitment to quality and customer satisfaction fueled their steady growth.

As their work expanded and their reputation solidified, Cox General Contractors relocated to a permanent office in 2004. This milestone marked a significant step in their journey, providing a dedicated space to accommodate their growing team and operational needs.

Their dedication to serving families has extended beyond the immediate, welcoming their children into the business. Over time, each of David and Robert's children have contributed their unique skills and talents to the company's success. Today, Cox General Contractors is proudly led by the second generation, with David and Robert at the helm alongside their sons, Jason, Shane, Ross, and Logan.
