MMI Industrial & Steel has deep roots in Arizona. This family-owned business, founded in 1974, has grown from a small millwright services company to a multi-faceted corporation with solid operations in structural steel fabrication and erection, as well as continued growth in industrial millwright services. Today, MMI is one of the larger employers in Mesa, AZ, supporting more than 100 families who contribute daily to the success of this growing venture.

Our Proud History

Our journey began in 1972 when owner Clifton Pinckard started with a truck and welder. By 1974, Milling Machinery, Inc. (MMI) was incorporated, and we did our first steel erection project at the new Frito-Lay Plant in Casa Grande, AZ, in 1984. We've since expanded our fabrication shop, added new equipment, and even invested in facility improvements and new equipment for further growth. Notably, we've navigated the recession without laying off a single employee and have completed large projects like the Phoenix Premium Outlet Mall.
