Our History

Our journey began with the establishment of Gibson/Magerfield Corp. in 1977, founded by D. Jameson Gibson and James A. Magerfield. Gibson's background in restoration craftsmanship and Magerfield's experience in history allowed the company to grow from a small specialized firm to a broad-based general contracting company. In 2007, Edenali Inc was formed by five brothers who specialized in providing carpentry services to other builders as well as general contracting. They quickly became known for their quality of craftsmanship and integrity in business. Gibson/Magerfield recognized their talent and contracted with Edenali Inc on several projects, which led to the merging of the two companies into what is now known as Gibson Magerfield Edenali.

Darrel Beachy, one of our team members, has had the privilege of working on some of the finest homes in the Charlottesville/Albemarle area. His keen eye for detail drew him to trim work, and as a manager, he creates a work environment that encourages collaboration and dedication to excellence.
