Our Story

The Bitterroot Ranch was established in 1971 by Bayard Fox, who along with his wife Mel and their son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Hadley, have been dedicated to creating an outstanding horseback riding vacation that is unique among dude ranches. With over four decades of experience, we have established ourselves as one of the premier horseback riding destinations in North America.
