Our Story

The Connick-Reid Academy, a beloved pillar in the Charlotte dance community, began its journey in 1994 as Rince na h'Eireann School of Traditional Irish Dance (RNE). Sandra Connick, a native of County Cork, Ireland, established the school driven by a deep passion to share the rich cultural heritage of Irish Dance with families. Sandra, who grew up immersed in the world of Irish Dance, shared fond memories of performing and competing alongside her sisters, and she aimed to foster that same love and dedication in her students. That vision resulted in the creation of a welcoming and inclusive environment where generations of dancers have flourished.

A Legacy Continued

Over the years, the academy has grown and evolved, eventually expanding beyond its original location to encompass several studios across North Carolina and South Carolina. Stacie Greiner, ADCRG, who took over as primary owner and operator, has carried forward Sandra's legacy, ensuring that the school continues to provide exemplary dance instruction and foster a strong sense of community. Stacie, a talented dancer with a successful competitive background, brings her own passion and expertise to the academy, guiding students on their Irish dance journey.
