Our Story

Cornerstone Kansas City was founded over 40 years ago by Michael Shirley, who began his career in executive search in 1980. The firm rapidly grew a solid reputation in the Midwest as a prolific retained executive search specialist, focusing on financial services, banking, healthcare, and industrial manufacturing. Dan Heiman, who joined the firm in 2007 and fully acquired the company in 2009, has continued to build on the firm's success, expanding its global reach and services.
