Soho Sushi

At SoHo Sushi, we are more than just a restaurant; we are a vibrant Japanese eatery and bar located in the heart of South Tampa. We pride ourselves on our creative, fresh, and award-winning sushi rolls and sashimi. Our name might be SoHo Sushi, but we offer much more than just sushi. With an extensive selection of teriyaki, tempura, and non-sushi entrees, we cater to every palate.

Our story began in March 2005 when we acquired The Yellow Door on Howard Avenue. The name SoHo Sushi was born from our founding location on South Howard Avenue in the SoHo District. The small but humble surroundings of this location proved to be the perfect environment to build a unique and transformative sushi culture in the city.

However, as the demand for our eclectic new concept grew, we knew we needed a larger space. In April 2008, we closed our SoHo doors and began our search for a new home. One month later, we acquired our current location on Kennedy Boulevard and reopened for business. The new SoHo Sushi provided a launching pad for several new services, expanded selections, and continued growth of the SoHo brand.

The evolution of our brand has included two remodels and an expansion, including our unique Sake bar. In May 2011, the restaurant underwent a front-to-back remodel, which included a larger sushi bar, additional seating, and an increased menu and wine selection. This transformation sparked an immediate expansion of kitchen services and was an overnight success. One year later, the kitchen was expanded and refitted to accommodate the increased demand.

Since then, the SoHo Sushi brand has evolved into Tampa Bay's premier location for sushi and Japanese food. Our sushi chefs are highly trained and knowledgeable in all aspects of sushi preparation and presentation. Whether you're in search of a particular fish or simply the best tuna that Tampa has to offer, these sushi designers will make your sushi fantasies come true. 2013 was also a big year for growth as SoHo added catering services and a new concept to the SoHo Sushi family. Sushi Inc, located in the heart of downtown Saint Petersburg, opened their doors on October 23, 2013, offering the same vibrant and unique sushi and Japanese food that gave SoHo Sushi its success. Sushi Inc, an extension of the SoHo Sushi brand, offers the same unique experience you receive at SoHo Sushi with the added benefits of a full liquor bar and larger space for events.
