Your Stay at The Porches Inn At Mass MoCA - Where Art Meets History
The Porches Inn At Mass MoCA was conceived as a unique destination where art, history, and modern comfort intersect. Located steps from MASS MoCA in North Adams, MA, our 47-room boutique inn was created through the imaginative restoration of 19th-century Victorian row houses, blending vintage architectural details with contemporary amenities. Founded by Jack Wadsworth, the inn celebrates the creative spirit of the Berkshires while honoring the community's industrial heritage. Our commitment to fostering art and vibrancy extends beyond our walls through partnerships with local organizations like the Clark Art Institute and MASS MoCA. Guests experience curated cultural programming, including intimate performances at Studio 9, while enjoying proximity to natural wonders like Mount Greylock. The property's design emphasizes communal spaces, from expansive verandas to thoughtfully integrated indoor-outdoor environments. We prioritize sustainability through historic preservation and community green space restoration. Our team combines hospitality expertise with deep local knowledge to create memorable stays for discerning travelers. The inn serves as both a cultural hub and a tranquil retreat, reflecting the dual heritage of the Northern Berkshires. With over two decades of operation, we continue evolving while maintaining our founding vision of connecting guests with the region's artistic and natural treasures.
