Talladega Clay Randolph (TCR) is a non-profit corporation dedicated to enriching the lives of children and families across Alabama. For over 45 years, TCR has been a steadfast pillar in the community, providing comprehensive education and health programs designed to empower individuals and strengthen families. Our mission is deeply rooted in the belief that every child deserves the opportunity to thrive, and we strive to create a nurturing environment where families can flourish.

Our Programs

TCR offers a diverse array of programs tailored to meet the unique needs of the communities we serve.

Cheaha Regional Head Start

Cheaha Regional Head Start is a nationally recognized early childhood program designed to provide comprehensive support for low-income families and children ages three to five. Our program encompasses educational enrichment, nutritional guidance, health services, and family engagement activities. Through play-based learning, we foster social-emotional development, language acquisition, cognitive growth, and physical well-being.

Child Care Central (CCC)

Child Care Central is a vital resource for families seeking quality child care options. At CCC, we strive to connect families with licensed and accredited childcare providers, offering guidance, support, and resources to navigate the complexities of child care. Our goal is to ensure that every child has access to safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate care, allowing parents the peace of mind to pursue their personal and professional aspirations.

Child Care Subsidy Program

TCR's Child Care Subsidy Program provides financial assistance to eligible families, enabling them to access quality childcare. We understand the challenges families face in affording quality care, and our program helps alleviate this burden, ensuring that children have the opportunity to flourish in enriching environments.

Child Care Partnerships

Through our Child Care Partnerships program, we collaborate with various community organizations, businesses, and agencies to strengthen the child care landscape. We leverage these partnerships to enhance the quality of care, expand access to resources, and advocate for policies that support working families and early childhood education.

Parents as Teachers (PAT)

Parents as Teachers is a family-centered approach to early childhood development that empowers parents to be their child's first teacher. Through home visits, group sessions, and resource referrals, our PAT program provides guidance and support to families, fostering a strong parent-child bond and promoting healthy development from infancy through kindergarten.

Team ONE

TCR's Team ONE partners with the Alabama Department of Human Resources (DHR) to provide vital services that support vulnerable children, families, and adults. We strive to prevent abuse and neglect, promote family stability, and empower individuals to achieve their full potential.

Stabilization Grant Application

TCR recognizes the need for ongoing support for organizations dedicated to serving children and families. We offer assistance with grant applications and resource navigation to help organizations secure funding and expand their impact in the community.

Making a Difference

TCR's unwavering commitment to service has resulted in a lasting positive impact on countless lives. Through our nurturing programs and supportive services, we strive to create a brighter future for children and families across Alabama.
