Lake Joy Campground

Lake Joy Campground is a family-owned and managed campground that has been a favorite summer getaway for more than 50 years. Our goal is to provide a clean, relaxing, friendly environment for families and friends to enjoy time together. We pride ourselves on attention to our campers, the cleanliness of our campground, the care of our grounds, and our modern shower facilities. We are also proud of our private, spring-fed lake which has swimming, boating, and some of the best fishing in this part of the state.

Lake Joy Campground has been a beloved destination for families and friends for over five decades. We have been fortunate enough to be a part of countless memories made by our campers, and we strive to continue providing a welcoming and enjoyable experience for all who visit us. Our campground has been family-owned and managed since its inception, and we take great pride in the relationships we've built with our campers over the years.

Our Services

At Lake Joy Campground, we offer a wide range of services and amenities to make your stay with us as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. Our campsites range from tent and pop-up sites to trailer and motorhome sites, all of which include fire rings and picnic tables. We also offer large non-water/non-electric group sites and large open areas perfect for family get-togethers, weddings, and other special events. Our campground features clean modern restrooms with free showers, a laundromat, and a camp store stocked with everything you need for a fun-filled stay.

Recreational Activities

Lake Joy Campground is the perfect destination for outdoor enthusiasts. Our 60-acre private, spring-fed lake offers excellent fishing for large and small mouth bass, walleye, catfish, northern pike, crappie, and blue gills - and no fishing license is required! We also offer boat rentals, a boat launch, and a sandy swimming beach with inflatable water toys. Our game room is equipped with ping-pong, pool, air-hockey, foosball, and arcade games, and we have three playgrounds, a basketball court, sand volleyball, and tetherball. We also offer free weekend and holiday family activities, including hayrides every weekend!

Our Location

Lake Joy Campground is located in the driftless area of scenic southwest Wisconsin, surrounded by rolling hills and remnants of ancient prairies. We are conveniently located near several tri-state metropolitan areas, including Platteville, Wisconsin; Galena, Illinois; Dubuque, Iowa; Madison, Wisconsin; Milwaukee, Wisconsin; Chicago, Illinois; and Minneapolis, Minnesota.
