Locally owned and operated since 1974, DRI (previously known as Dakota Refirgeration, Inc.) is the solution for all your refrigeration, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning needs. Our mission is to provide customers with knowledgeable, cost-efficient, and prompt refrigeration service. From design and installation to maintenance and repair, we work for our customers to complete projects in a timely, efficient manner. We currently have more than 40 technicians serving in North Dakota, Northern South Dakota, West Central Minnesota, and Eastern Montana with three locations: Fargo, Bismarck, and Minot, North Dakota. Each technician is given with a fully stocked service van and is available to you 24-hrs a day, 7 days a week.
Our Company History
June 1973: Company founded by James W. Kempel as a part-time one-man business
June 1974: Purchased the assets of Henderson Refrigeration Service
March 1975: Purchased the assets of Erv's Refrigeration
January 1976: Incorporated as Dakota Refrigeration, Inc.
October 1976: Moved to 515 19th St. N in Fargo
March 2004: Purchased the assets of Commercial Refrigeration, Inc. of Bismarck, ND
November 2010: Moved to current location of 4322 15th Ave N in Fargo, ND
June 2018: Purchased the assets of Refrigeration Equipment of Minot, ND
