Founded on the unwavering values of a family-owned business, we have spent the last 86 years building a reputation for delivering more than expected. Our company was started by Clayton D. Davenport Sr. as a one-truck operation and has since grown into a 3rd generation business with a diverse range of services.

At C.D. Davenport, we specialize in construction, crane service, and trucking. Our team is highly trained and qualified, with our foremen being present on every site to ensure safety and knowledge troubleshooting. We take pride in our drug and alcohol-free working environment and our commitment to keeping our equipment and trucks clean and well-maintained. C.D. Davenport is proud to offer a wide range of services that cover all facets of site work for your needs, large or small. Our team is OSHA 10-hour trained in Construction Safety, ensuring that every job is completed with the utmost attention to safety and quality.

In addition to our construction services, we also offer a variety of crane and trucking services. We are MA Highway Department prequalified in Bridge Construction, Highway Construction, and Sewer and Water, with extensive work experience in Bioengineering Slope Repair and River Bank Stabilization. Our crane services include 7 to 275-ton cranes, and our trucking services include equipment and flatbed trucking, as well as dumpster services.

Company History

Clayton D. Davenport was started in 1929 by Clayton D. Davenport Sr. as a one-truck operation. After serving in WWII, Mr. Davenport returned and expanded the business, adding crane service, excavating equipment, and petroleum hauling. Under the leadership of Clayton Jr., the company continued to grow and now employs over 40 people with many family members involved in the business.

Today, C.D. Davenport is proud to be a trusted partner for construction, crane service, and trucking in the Western Massachusetts area. We are committed to maintaining our exceptional standards and providing our clients with the highest level of service.
