Lyrical
Lyrical classes combine ballet technique with emotional storytelling through movement. Students explore contemporary styles, fluid transitions, and musical interpretation. Kinderdance

Hip Hop

Miss Diana
Founder & Director
With 45+ years teaching experience, Miss Diana established Dancin' Place after performing with professional companies including Theatre in the Round and Tanya O'Malley Ballet. She directs all productions and curriculum development.
Cheyanne Darnielle-Elam
Ballet Instructor
A former LA Ballet trainee and UNC School of the Arts graduate, Cheyanne brings professional performance experience from Ballet Theatre of Indiana. She specializes in training young dancers for advanced technical roles.
Casie Nicole
Artistic Director
Casie holds extensive performance credentials from Charlotte Ballet and Milwaukee Ballet. She oversees faculty training and youth company programming, bringing professional expertise in classical repertoire and outreach education.
Questions
What dance styles do you offer?
We provide ballet, tap, lyrical, hip hop, and combination classes. Our curriculum also includes pre-pointe and pointe technique for advanced students.
What are your class fees?
All classes cost $65/month with a $15 registration fee. Family discounts are available upon request.
When do classes start?
Regular sessions begin August 12th, with breaks for holidays and weather-related school closures.
What performance opportunities exist?
Students participate in two annual story ballets and summer Stone Soup Children's Theatre productions.
What are the dress code requirements?
