At Kott-the-Limit Sport Fishing, we take pride in being a family-owned and operated private fishing charter boat based in Ocean City, New Jersey. For the past 16 years, we have been providing an unforgettable fishing experience to families, friends, and groups of anglers. Our team, led by Captain Bill Kott, has a combined 30 plus years of experience in fishing for a variety of game fish. As retired teachers, Captain Bill and his son, Captain Bill Kott Jr., share a passion for not only catching fish but also educating their clients about the sport.

Our Services

We offer a range of services to cater to our clients' needs. Our offshore fishing trips allow us to catch tuna and sharks, including those over 500 pounds. In the back bays, we fish for flounder and stripers. We have two boats at our disposal: a 23-foot Parker and a 29-foot Southport. Our boats are well-equipped to provide a comfortable and memorable fishing experience for groups of up to six people.

Meet the Captains

Captain Bill Kott is a U.S. Coast Guard licensed master with over 30 years of experience in fishing. As a retired biology teacher, he combines his passion for fishing with his expertise in educating anglers.

Captain Bill Kott Jr. spent 12 years working as a first mate and is in his second year as a licensed U.S. Coast Guard Captain.
