JBR Associates, LLC is a reputable construction firm based in Amherst, NH, specializing in the construction and renovation of commercial buildings. Since our founding in 2004 by Jack Reed and his wife Barbara, we have been privileged to work with esteemed clients such as TD Bank N.A., Citizens National Bank, Granite State Credit Union, Public Service of NH, and several other commercial enterprises. As a full-service commercial construction firm, we are proud to offer a comprehensive range of services, from general maintenance to building construction.

Our Team

Our team is comprised of seasoned professionals with a wealth of experience in the construction industry. Our founder, Jack Reed, boasts over forty years of expertise in residential, commercial, industrial, and retail construction. During the 1970s, Jack founded Reed & Clerke Construction Co. and built more than 500 homes. From 1979 to 1998, Jack was the Senior Vice President in charge of construction operations at W.S. Kenney Co. in Natick, MA, and was responsible for estimating, bidding to subcontractors, awarding contracts, hiring of all field personnel, and managing all projects from permitting to completion. In 1998, Jack founded Saxon Real Estate Partners, where he developed a 700-unit retirement community in Middleboro, MA, and supervised the design, bidding to subcontractors, awarding contracts, oversight of all construction, permitting, and relations with local conservation and planning boards. From 2001 to 2004, Jack worked for Ferd Construction in Hollis, NH, first as Senior Vice President and then in 2003 as President, before forming JBR Associates, LLC in 2004.

Robert J. Cove, our General Manager, has worked in the construction industry for over 25 years. He started his career with WS Kenney Co. Inc. as a carpenter in 1990 and was promoted to superintendent in 1994, overseeing various renovation, retail, medical, and commercial building projects. From 1999 to 2011, Bob worked for Saxon Real Estate Partners as a construction manager. In 2012, Bob joined JBR Associates, LLC, where he currently serves as the active General Manager. Bob attended Worcester Technical Institute for Architecture and Construction and the University of Lowell for Civil Engineering.

A.Ryan Cove, our Operations Manager, joined JBR Associates in 2015 and serves as an Estimator/Project Manager. Ryan attended Middlesex Community College from 2016-2017 and graduated with an Associates Degree in Business Administration. Ryan proceeded to finish his Bachelors Degree in Business Administration at the University of Massachusetts Lowell, where he graduated with honors in 2021.

Thomas J. Cove, our Estimating/Project Management professional, attended Vermont Technical College and graduated with an Associates Degree in Construction Management in 2016. Thomas worked for Whiting Turner at the University of Vermont Medical Center, where Whiting Turner built a 180,000 sq.ft. inpatient bed tower. In 2019, Thomas came to work with JBR Associates.

Jennifer F. McPherson serves as our Office Manager, overseeing bookkeeping and secretarial work on a part-time basis for JBR Associates, LLC. Jennifer has a BA in Biology from Plymouth State College.

Scott A. Raymond, our Site Superintendent, has extensive experience in the construction industry and is responsible for overseeing our job sites.
