At International Waste Control, Inc. (IWC), we have been serving the Jacksonville area for over 25 years. Our company has a long history of providing regulatory services needed to meet the requirements of USDA, APHIS, Homeland Security, U.S. Coast Guard, and the City of Jacksonville for proper removal and disposal of USDA regulated/contaminated garbage and Annex V & XIII plastics along with transporting, storing, and treating Bio-Medical Waste.

Our Facility

Located in Jacksonville, Florida, our state-of-the-art facility is used to process waste from vessels and aircraft that have been to ports or countries outside of the US (with the exception being Canada). Our facility is equipped to handle a variety of waste materials, including foreign garbage and medical waste. Our team is dedicated to ensuring that all waste is disposed of in an environmentally responsible manner.

History

IWC was founded in 1984 to perform pressure washing services for heavy equipment entering the US and requiring the removal of foreign soil. Over the years, our company has grown and evolved to meet the changing needs of the waste disposal industry. In 1989, we were asked to be the solution for a new International Law called MARPOL 73/78, Annex-V. This law prohibited plastic or its byproducts from being thrown into the waterways of the world, to include plastics that came in contact with food or garbage. The material had to be sterilized prior to being disposed of in a landfill.
