Our team is led by Gerald Amundsen II, MD, a trusted physician in Mustang with over 20 years of experience in the medical field. Dr. Amundsen has a keen interest in skin conditions and skin procedures, and is skilled in a variety of medical procedures. He is also an approved instructor for the American Academy of Family Physicians and the National Procedures Institute.

Joinsing Dr. Amundsen is Michele "Shelly" Barnes, LPN, a licensed aesthetician with over 15 years of experience in the field. Shelly has a passion for helping clients achieve their aesthetic goals and is skilled in a wide range of aesthetic procedures.

Semaglutide is a medication that has been approved by the FDA to help manage weight in overweight adults with other risk factors such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, sleep apnea, etc.

How does Semaglutide work? Semaglutide is a glucagon-like peptide that attaches to receptors in the small intestine, stimulating a variety of effects in the body. It suppresses appetite, delays gastrin release, and stimulates insulin production and release to improve carbohydrate metabolism.

Semaglutide is injected once weekly at any time of day, with or without food, and should be injected on the same day each week. The medication is generally well-tolerated, with most common side effects being gastrointestinal symptoms such as nausea and loose stools.
