Our venue is nestled within a 720-acre state forest and along the pristine Ipswich River, just 30 miles north of Boston, Massachusetts. The estate boasts a stunning Craftsman and Tudor Revival Stone Mansion, first constructed in the early 1900s. A thorough renovation in 2007 retained the estate's defining historical characteristics while incorporating thoughtful modern touches throughout. The property is home to expansive gardens and spectacular grounds that offer guests a chance to immerse themselves in nature.

Our History

Willowdale Estate opened its doors in 2007 after an extensive renovation aimed at restoring the mansion and grounds to their original beauty. Our owner, Briar Forsythe, assembled a team of dedicated professionals who share her passion for delivering exceptional events and unparalleled customer service. In 2017, Briar and her team founded Bramble Hospitality, which now includes Briar Barn Inn located in Rowley, Massachusetts. This expansion allows us to provide even more great hospitality options to the people in and around the greater Boston region.
