Emerson Animal Hospital P.A. is a leading veterinary care facility in Bergen County, New Jersey. Founded in the 1940s, our hospital was purchased by our current owner, Dr. Al Lofaro, in 2001. Since then, we have been dedicated to providing the highest quality of pet care and delivering excellence in pet care to our clients and their beloved pets.

Our hospital has a team of four to five experienced veterinarians, and we have been completely refurbished to ensure the best environment for your pet. We provide a variety of services for dogs, cats, and small animals, and we also carry the complete range of Hill's Prescription Diet Foods for dogs and cats.

• Dr. Al Lofaro: Dr. Al Lofaro has been with Emerson Animal Hospital P.A. since 1994. He has a deep love for animals and has pursued a career in veterinary medicine. Dr. Lofaro is a native of Fort Lee, New Jersey, and he attended the Veterinary School of Perugia, Italy, and also spent two years at the Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine in Indiana.

• Dr. Tony Lofaro: Dr. Tony Lofaro joined Emerson Animal Hospital in March 2023 after graduating from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine and completing his clinical year at Louisiana State University. His special interests include ophthalmology, soft tissue surgery, and exotic animals.
