Alam Accountancy Corporation, P.C. is a professional full-service accounting firm located in San Jose, California. Our team is led by Shermin Tawni Alam, MBA, CPA, who graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) with a Bachelors of Science in Cognitive Science - Artificial Intelligence, Behavioral Neuroscience in 1996. In 2005, Ms. Alam graduated from Santa Clara University with a Master's in Business Administration (MBA) and a concentration in Leading People and Organizations. Ms. Alam started her career as a Business Assurance Associate with Coopers & Lybrand (now PwC) and has since gained over 25+ years of experience working with companies of all sizes in various capacities. She specializes in Tax Planning and Preparation for Individuals and all types of Businesses and obtained her CPA license in 2018.

Our firm was founded by Khorshed Alam, MBA, CPA (Retired), EA (Retired), MA(Econ), who has 40+ years of combined experience in setting up and managing small businesses (both industrial and commercial) from ground breaking to full-fledged operation. Mr. Alam has personally worked with hundreds of businesses throughout the Northwest in a wide variety of industries, ranging from small companies and professional practices to large companies. He has over 20 years of experience in business and industrial management in multinational projects and three years of teaching practicing managers as an Adjunct Faculty at San Jose State University.
