Central City Auto Parts, a family-owned and operated automotive business, has been serving Central New York for nearly 80 years. Since its inception in 1926, the company has specialized in recycled auto parts, providing guaranteed, quality used parts to its customers. With its humble beginnings on North Franklin Street, Central City Auto Parts has grown to become one of the largest inventories of tested and used auto parts in upstate New York.

Our History

Frank Marra founded Central City Auto Parts in 1926, starting with a small collection of cars and selling the tires and tubes. The rest of the car would be scrapped, saving all usable parts. By reinvesting the profits, Frank was able to expand his business and open a branch store. However, during World War II, government regulations began to take effect, requiring all cars and tires to be scrapped regardless of condition. Despite these challenges, Frank helped organize the National Auto Wreckers Association and was on the Board of Directors. In 1961, Frank and other auto wreckers formed the NYS Auto and Truck Dismantlers Association, with Frank serving as president from 1963-64.

Our Leadership

Pat, the second generation, joined the business in 1952 and managed all phases of the business. In 1971, Pat became president and was also elected president of the NYS Auto and Truck Dismantlers Association for two terms. Today, Patrick, the third generation, is the president of Central City Auto Parts and enjoys working in the community and continuing the dedication to customers.
