Our History
Founded in 1989, Iguana Galleries first opened in Westchester County in New York before relocating to Los Gatos, California in 1991. We have showcased the work of various contemporary California artists, including Hugo Lecaros, Linda Fullmer, Martha Zappe, and Anna Caterina Pildner. Our portfolio celebrates 34 years of bringing original fine art to the Bay Area at affordable prices.
Our Artist and Owner
Janet Fullmer Bajorek, the owner and artist of Iguana Galleries, is a passionate and dedicated artist. She has studied painting, sculpture, and ceramics in Los Angeles and New York and has exhibited on both coasts and in Minnesota. With a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Latin American Sociology, History, and Art Studies from the University of the Americas in Mexico City, Janet brings a unique perspective to her art.
Ceramic Sculpture and Artistic Process
As a ceramic sculptor, Janet draws inspiration from the tactile experience of creating 3-dimensional objects. Her sculptures often comment on contemporary American society with a gentle humor, while also conveying the affection, anger, and pathos felt by all peoples. With a focus on detail and precision, Janet carefully crafts each piece, ensuring that every sculpture is a one-of-a-kind masterpiece.
