At Native Paws, we are dedicated to providing a stress-free training experience for both dogs and their owners. Our mission is to show people that wonderful results can be achieved when the dog is relaxed and having fun. With years of experience and a passion for helping people care for their pets, we have developed hundreds of training plans that have helped families better communicate with their canine counterparts.
Our Services
We offer a range of services designed to help you and your dog build a stronger, more positive relationship. From initial consultations to private training sessions, we work with you to identify problem behaviors and develop a customized training plan to address them. Our services include:
- Initial Consultation: During this 90-minute session, we gather a brief history of your dog and discuss any problems that may be present. We then work together to strategize a plan of action and provide you with detailed notes and handouts for reference.
- Private Training: Each follow-up session is 60 minutes and includes a detailed training plan, additional resources as necessary, and email support between sessions.
- Virtual Consultation: If you're not sure where to begin, a virtual consultation is a great option to get a feel for our training style and help you decide if we would be a good fit. Our session takes place via Zoom, and we discuss any problem areas and explain training techniques that we will be using in subsequent sessions.
Our Approach
Our approach to dog training is centered around the Least Intrusive, Minimally Aversive training philosophy as formed by the Council for Professional Dog Trainers. We believe that dogs learn best in a stress-free environment and have a right to live as stress-free a life as possible. Our duty as their caretakers is to ensure that we use only the most humane training methods available. We advise against using aversive tools when training dogs and instead focus on teaching humans how to communicate with their canine companions in a positive way.
