Altoona Grand Hotel

Since 1974, Altoona Grand Hotel has stood as a distinguished Pennsylvania landmark, offering guests a blend of timeless elegance and modern comfort. Our property's success led to a significant expansion in 1977, establishing us as Blair County's premier full-service hotel and conference center. Over the decades, we've hosted notable figures including US President George H.W. Bush, cementing our reputation as a top destination for travelers seeking exceptional accommodations. With 215 spacious rooms featuring contemporary amenities, we cater to diverse guest needs through standard, poolside, and luxury suite options designed for both leisure and business travelers. Our commitment to excellence extends to our event hosting capabilities, where we provide versatile venues ranging from intimate meeting spaces to grand ballrooms accommodating up to 550 guests.

The hotel's tropical courtyard, the area's largest indoor heated pool, and state-of-the-art fitness center create memorable experiences for visitors. Our dedicated team ensures personalized service for weddings, conferences, and special events, complemented by on-site dining at The Grouse's Nest restaurant. Through decades of operation, we've maintained our position as a trusted hospitality leader while continuously updating our facilities to meet evolving guest expectations. Our strategic location near Interstate 99 and proximity to Bedford and State College make us an ideal base for exploring central Pennsylvania. From our historic beginnings to our current status as a regional hospitality icon, we remain committed to delivering exceptional service and creating lasting memories for every guest.
