Step 2 This Dance & Performing Arts Studio, located in Oakley, CA, was founded in August 2002 with the mission of providing a positive learning experience for every family who walks through our doors. Our dance program is designed to enrich the lives of both recreational and competitive dancers, promoting a family-oriented, positive atmosphere that helps to build self-esteem and the love of dance.

The Rewards of Dance

At Step 2 This, we believe that dance offers numerous rewards, including the development of self-esteem, social skills, tenacity, and life skills. Our program is structured to help children achieve personal objectives, learn patience and tolerance, and build communication skills. Through dance, children can learn the value of balance in life and the importance of setting and achieving goals.

One of the most significant rewards of dance is the development of self-esteem. Dance helps children develop a positive self-image and become more confident individuals. As they contribute to the team effort, they acquire a healthy self-esteem that will benefit them throughout their lives.

Dance also provides children with the opportunity to make new friends and socialize in a stimulating environment. Our students often form lifelong friendships, creating a supportive community that extends beyond the dance studio.

Our Classes

Step 2 This offers quality dance instruction for students of all ages, from 2 through adult. Our classes are designed to meet the needs of all skill levels, from beginner to advanced. We offer a wide variety of classes, including ballet, tap, jazz, contemporary, hip hop, and acro. Our classes are scheduled throughout the day on weekdays and weekends, providing convenient options for busy families.

Our faculty is made up of industry professionals who genuinely care about your child's dance education. Our teachers are passionate about what they do and are inspired by your children every day. Our studio owner, Amber, is an instructor with over 20 years of experience and is dedicated to providing a positive and inspiring learning environment for all of our students.

Competition Teams

For students who wish to take their skills to the next level, Step 2 This offers audition-based Competition Teams. Our competition teams provide students with the opportunity to compete in local and national dance competitions, as well as perform in various community events. Our competition teams are a great way for students to build teamwork skills, learn discipline and commitment, and showcase their talents.

Registration

Step 2 This offers convenient online registration, with no annual registration fees. We are vendors for the Vista Oaks Charter school, Visions Homeschool, and Compass Charter School. We welcome students from all schools and backgrounds and are committed to providing a positive and inspiring learning environment for all.
