J&T Logistics Inc. is a professional brokerage company that specializes in temperature-controlled freight, primarily meat and produce, and has been in operation since 2005. Over the years, we have built a reputation for reliability and excellent service, with a focus on making on-time pickups and deliveries. We work with some of the most dependable carriers in the country, many of whom are dedicated carriers who haul exclusively for J&T Logistics. Despite our growth, we still pride ourselves on operating as a small business, with a dedicated office staff providing 24/7 dispatch and personalized service to our customers and carriers.

Our company offers a variety of lanes for carriers, as well as cash advances, quick-pay, and easy carrier setup. In 2023, we moved into a new state-of-the-art 44,000 square foot facility located at 27089 US Hwy 65 in Hubbard, Iowa. Our History

J&T was founded by Tracey Rieks and John Brinkmeyer in 2005 as a brokerage service for refrigerated freight. Tracey's experience in the industry began when he was a child, riding with his father on trips to the east coast and back. He eventually purchased his own truck in 1992 and started his own trucking company in 1994, hauling meat out east and general freight back to the midwest. In 2005, Tracey's father-in-law, John Brinkmeyer, joined him on a few trips to the east coast, and together they formed J&T Logistics Inc. The company specialized in brokering refrigerated freight for customers across the United States, with the help of a few dedicated carriers.

By 2007, the company had grown by over 500% from the previous year, and hired many employees to help manage the additional business. J&T bought its first reefer trailers that year and also purchased an office/shop at 100 N State St in Hubbard, where it still operates today. As J&T Logistics Inc continued to grow, the need for additional trucks to handle their customer's needs became apparent. In late 2010, J&T Motorfreight LLC, an asset-based trucking company, was formed, and the company now had its own fleet of trucks on the road.

In 2015, J&T Truck & Trailer Repair was formed to start offering outside repair services to local customers and over-the-road drivers. The repair shop has since more than doubled in size and now employs 7 full-time mechanics. In 2016, John Brinkmeyer retired and sold his shares of the business, making Tracey Rieks the sole owner of the J&T companies.
