Our History: From Humble Beginnings to Established Expertise

Westmoreland Electric, Inc., the precursor to our current entity, began its journey in 1988 as a small, commercial company operating with only two employees and a single truck. As our reputation for excellence grew, so did our reach and capabilities. By 1999, we had made a significant expansion, moving into a brand new, state-of-the-art facility. This expansive facility encompassed an 8,800 square foot office and classroom space, a 11,250 square foot prefab/storage warehouse, and an additional 7,750 square foot storage facility. This move symbolized not only our physical growth but also our commitment to providing a superior work environment and infrastructure to support our expanding team.

In 2015, as part of a carefully planned succession strategy by the original founder, four dedicated employees transitioned into managing partners, marking the birth of Westmoreland Electric Services, LLC. This new chapter was led by Brian P. Owens, President, Christopher K. Shreckengost, Vice President of Operations, and Phillip E. Hunt, Secretary. Together, these seasoned professionals have skillfully guided the company's trajectory, propelling Westmoreland Electric to its current position as a respected leader in the industry.

Today, we employ over 125 dedicated professionals serving clients across Pennsylvania, Maryland, Ohio, and West Virginia.
