Westfield Veterinary Hospital has been a cornerstone of animal care in Westfield and Dunkirk, New York, since 1945. Our mission is to provide compassionate, high-quality medical and surgical care to the companion animals in our community. Originally established as a practice focused on large animals like cows and horses, Westfield Veterinary Hospital has evolved with the changing landscape of the region. As dairy farms transitioned to vineyards, our focus shifted to care for companion animals, primarily dogs and cats. This evolution has allowed us to specialize in various aspects of veterinary care, from routine wellness examinations to complex surgical procedures. Dr. Sarah Johnson, who joined the practice in 2004 and purchased it in 2008, has continued the tradition of providing exceptional care, upholding the high standards set by our founder, Dr. Messer.

Our Dunkirk Outpatient Clinic

In addition to our main hospital in Westfield, we also operate a satellite clinic in Dunkirk: Westfield Veterinary Hospital Outpatient Veterinary Clinic. This convenient location offers a range of routine outpatient services, including:

• Vaccinations: We administer all of the core and non-core vaccinations recommended by veterinary organizations.

While our surgical procedures are performed at our Westfield location, you can often drop off and pick up your pet at our Dunkirk clinic.
