The Ventura County Community College District (VCCCD) is a public community college district serving residents throughout Ventura County. Our district is dedicated to providing high-quality education and training to our students, preparing them for successful careers and lives.

Our Mission

Our mission is to provide opportunities for students to succeed by offering a wide range of academic programs, career technical training, and student support services. We are committed to serving the diverse needs of our community, and we strive to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment that fosters student success.

Programs and Services

VCCCD offers a wide range of programs and services to meet the diverse needs of our students. Our academic programs include associate degree and certificate programs, transfer programs to four-year colleges and universities, and career technical training in fields such as healthcare, technology, and skilled trades. We also offer online learning options, dual enrollment programs for high school students, and apprenticeships and internships to provide our students with hands-on learning experiences.

In addition to our academic programs, we offer a range of student support services, including counseling, academic advising, and financial aid. We are committed to providing our students with the support they need to succeed, both in the classroom and beyond.

Community Engagement

At VCCCD, we believe that community engagement is an essential part of our mission. We partner with local businesses, organizations, and community groups to provide training and services that meet the needs of our community. Our Economic & Workforce Development program provides customizable and cost-effective training to employers, promoting growth and flexibility in a challenging economy.

Leadership and Governance

Our district is led by a board of trustees, which is responsible for adopting policies that direct all activities relating to the business of the district and its colleges. We also have a personnel commission, which ensures fair and objective treatment of applicants and employees in all aspects of personnel administration.

About Our Colleges

We have three colleges within our district: Moorpark College, Oxnard College, and Ventura College. Each of our colleges has its own unique character and strengths, but all share a commitment to providing high-quality education and training to our students.
