Our History

In 1982, Bill Guche and Peter Kolokouris embarked on a journey that would transform an ordinary plaza into a haven for antique enthusiasts. They envisioned a space where history met opportunity, a place where collectors and treasure seekers could lose themselves in a world of unique finds. Initially, their concept revolved around creating a vibrant flea market experience, something new and exciting for the community. As their vision expanded, so did their ambitions.

They recognized a burgeoning passion for antiques and decided to cater to that growing demand. Their first antique shop opened its doors with just twelve dealers, quickly outgrowing its modest space within a month. Fueled by success and unwavering determination, they expanded to a larger location that could accommodate forty dealers, laying the foundation for Ontario Mall Antiques.

Over time, Ontario Mall Antiques became a landmark destination, its reputation extending far beyond the local community. The plaza transformed into a bustling marketplace, with skilled artisans and passionate collectors showcasing a diverse array of antique treasures. Undeterred by challenges, Bill and Peter continually sought innovative ways to enhance the shopping experience, introducing new designs, dealer displays, and staff training programs. They remained committed to providing exceptional customer service, ensuring a clean and inviting environment where treasure hunters could immerse themselves in a world of history and unique finds.

Peter, inspired by the success of Ontario Mall Antiques, replicated this model in Salamanca, NY, establishing Salamanca Mall Antiques. Both malls flourished, each cultivating a vibrant community of dealers and collectors who shared a passion for the past.

Today, the legacy of Bill and Peter carries on through their sons, Matthew Guche and Demitri Kolokouris, who have taken the reins of the family businesses.
