Hunter Lake Campgrounds

Hunter Lake Campground, a family-owned-and-operated business, is the perfect destination for anyone looking for a pristine and peaceful atmosphere to enjoy all that nature has to offer. Situated on beautiful Hunter Lake in Parksville, New York, the campground is high in the western Catskill mountains with an elevation of 2,300 ft. With 85 acres of spring-fed lake, visitors can enjoy some of the best fishing in the area, as well as a sandy beach and swimming area. With 94 campsites that are immaculate and relaxing, visitors can choose to go RV or tent camping and enjoy the wooded sites with a fire ring and picnic table.

Robert and Ann Scott opened the campground more than 40 years ago, and it has since become a beloved camping destination for families. The campground was originally a Catholic boys' camp, but the Scott family renovated it and made it available to all visitors. Campground Office Hours are Monday - Friday: 9:00 a.m.-9:00 p.m. and Sundays: 9:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. Contact reservations can only be made by phone at (845) 292-3629.

Amenities at Hunter Lake Campground

Hunter Lake Campground offers a wide range of amenities, including:

• The Grub Bag: Our on-site camp office and country store offers basic necessities that may have been forgotten while packing for the camping trip, as well as simple fishing and camping accessories, and boat rentals.
• Restroom and Shower Facilities: Our restrooms have been reviewed as some of the cleanest facilities for miles around, and they are well-kept and maintained on a daily basis. We have two restroom facilities on the grounds, one of which is handicapped-accessible. Both offer free hot showers.
• Highlander Hall: Our beautiful enclosed pavilion is where kids can go to play ping-pong, pool, and air hockey. Special events are held here, such as dances, ice cream socials, arts and crafts, bingo, and many more.
• Swimming and Beach: On those hot sunny days, enjoy our beautiful sandy beach on the shore of Hunter Lake. Get your feet wet or take a refreshing swim to our floating dock.
• Campsites: All campsites have water and electric (30 amp). RV and seasonal campsites have water, electric, and sewer. All sites are wooded with a fire ring and picnic table. Tent sites are spacious and have lots of grass and privacy.
• Pets: Our campground is pet-friendly. Pets must be leashed at all times, and we require a copy of their rabies shots. All pet owners are required to clean up after their pets. A refundable cash deposit is required for all pets.
